Hessian eventing rider Anton Gerlach will in future be supported by the talent pool of the Stiftung Deutscher Pferdesport. The financial support from a sponsoring association will enable him to pursue his sporting goals - including participation in the European Championships with his proven partner Let's Dance (Lico D'or x Placido).
The now 14-year-old gelding was originally intended for Anton's mother, but the young rider persevered and shaped him into a successful event horse up to CCI3* level. In addition to Let's Dance, Gerlach is also relying on the seven-year-old mare Voice of Germany (Viscount 22 x Corea), with whom he took part in the Bundeschampionate in 2023 and is now planning his first starts at CCI2* level.
Alongside his sporting career, Anton Gerlach is completing an apprenticeship as a horse farmer with Jörn Warner in Fröndenberg. His long-term goal is clear: eventing should also play a central role in his professional life.
With the talent pool, the Stiftung Deutscher Pferdesport provides targeted support for young talents by not only providing financial resources, but also facilitating access to important networks and mentorships. Thanks to the support of several sponsors, who wish to remain anonymous, Anton Gerlach can continue on his path in eventing.
