Simon Delestre and his 13-year-old stallion Cayman Jolly Jumper (Hickstead x Quaprice Z) have won the Grand Prix at the Saut Hermès in Paris. It was the Frenchman's third success in this prestigious show jumping competition, which was held in front of an impressive backdrop under the glass roof of the Grand Palais Éphémère.
Nine pairs reached the jump-off, including Christian Ahlmann and Kendra Claricia Brinkop. Delestre confidently beat Robert Whitaker with Vermento (Argento x Skippy II) and Max Kühner with EIC Julius Caesar (Couleur Rubin x Cancara). Ahlmann took fourth place with the nine-year-old stallion Untouched lB (United Touch S x Cornet Obolensky) as the best-placed German. Brinkop and Enrico de la Pomme (Vigo d'Arsouilles x C-Ingmar) finished ninth. Marcus Ehning missed the jump-off with Priam du Roset (Plot Blue x Tanael du Serein) due to a time fault and finished in tenth place. Just one week earlier, Delestre had already won the World Cup in 's-Hertogenbosch with Cayman.
