Equestrian sport bids farewell to national coach Jonny Hilberath. In honor of the deceased, the German Olympic Committee for Equestrian Sports (DOKR) invites you to a public memorial service on Monday, March 24, at 2 p.m. in the DOKR show jumping arena in Warendorf. Friends, acquaintances and companions are invited to take their leave together. The funeral and memorial service will take place at a later date in the closest circle of family and friends.

Hilberath, who grew up in Kellinghusen, was successful in all disciplines up to advanced (S) level before devoting himself to dressage. His career took him from training with Rosemarie Springer to training with Herbert Rehbein and numerous Grand Prix successes under Detlef Saul. In 1992, he won the German Professional Riders' Championships and has shaped the international dressage scene ever since. As national coach, he led the German team to a silver medal in London in 2012.
