An international highlight is on the program for Michael Jung, Calvin Böckmann and Libussa Lübbeke from 24 to 27 April 2025: the traditional CCI5*-L at the Kentucky Horse Park. Among the 42 registered pairs from eight nations, the three German riders are among the most promising participants.

Lexington is familiar territory for Michael Jung. With fischerChipmunk FRH (Contendro I x Heraldik xx), who already won in Kentucky in 2022 and is now 17 years old, he is aiming for another success. Calvin Böckmann is bringing The Phantom of the Opera (Quo Vados I x Peking Opera xx) to the start, with whom he made his 5* debut in the USA last year and has since been able to collect further successes in Aachen and Arville. Libussa Lübbeke is traveling to the USA with a horse for the first time. She impressed on her debut in Luhmühlen in 2023 with her mare Caramia (Comte x Fabriano), who was bred by her family.

Böckmann and Lübbeke are using the CCI3*-S in Luhmühlen this weekend as preparation, while fischerChipmunk has already successfully jumped over 1.30 meters in Italy. The starting field is also top-class internationally, including Tim Price, Tom McEwen and Lara de Liedekerke Meier. Some riders are also on the starting list for the Badminton Horse Trials taking place two weeks later, which should provide additional excitement for the final decision.
