Elisabeth Max-Theurer will continue to help shape the Austrian Olympic Committee (ÖOC) as Vice President. At the General Assembly in Vienna, she was confirmed as part of the new appointments to the Presidium. The President of the Austrian Equestrian Federation has been active on the ÖOC Executive Board since 2005 and emphasized her excitement about the future cooperation with the newly elected President Horst Nussbaumer and Secretary General Florian Gosch.
Nussbaumer, a three-time Olympic participant in rowing, was elected by a large majority to succeed Karl Stoss. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized his ambition to further develop top-level Olympic sport in Austria and to create optimal framework conditions for this. The new President announced that he would quickly seek dialog with all relevant sports institutions and revise the ÖOC's existing mission statement.
