The international driving competition in Písečné nad Dyjí in the Czech Republic, part of the Rhea Holding Driving Cup and qualifier for the FEI World Cup, will not take place in 2025. As the organizing team announced, the event had to be cancelled after intensive consultations with the main sponsor Rhea Holding due to the spread of foot-and-mouth disease.

The highly contagious virus infection, which is currently spreading in neighboring countries, poses a considerable risk, especially for livestock farms. Horses can act as carriers, which is why the tournament was canceled out of consideration for our own and neighbouring farms.

Jana Nesvačilová, spokesperson for the organizing team, regrets the cancellation, but emphasizes the necessity of the event. They hope to be able to welcome participants from the international driving sport again in 2026.
