The Selle Français stallion Falko de Hus died at the age of just ten.

While warming up for the FFE/AC Print Grand National in Auvers, François-Xavier Boudant's horse had such an unfortunate fall that it broke a leg so badly that euthanasia was unavoidable. The stallion, a son of Baloubet du Rouet, was owned by the France Élevage Group (GFE) and was brought to the clinic in Bayeux. However, the veterinary examinations showed that even a life in retirement would no longer have been possible.

Falko de Hus had made a name for himself as champion of the seven-year-olds at the 2022 French Championships and had recently achieved several international successes. The deep shock and sadness at the sudden loss is also reflected in the emotional words of Boudant, who said goodbye to the horse on Instagram.
