Just a few days before the start of the FEI Sports Forum 2025 at the IMD Business School in Lausanne, all the signs are pointing towards exchange and setting the course. The event will bring together international experts on March 31 and April 1 to discuss current topics and challenges in equestrian sport in eight sessions.
The first day will focus on the complete revision of the FEI Jumping Rules. Stephan Ellenbruch, Chairman of the FEI Jumping Committee, and FEI Jumping Director Todd Hinde will present the planned changes together with other experts from various areas of equestrian sport.
Discussions include new wording for Article 241.3 (eliminations), rest periods for horses, riders and grooms, as well as the admissibility of certain competition formats. Rule adjustments for young horses and the introduction of minimum requirements (MERs) for eligibility to compete at certain levels are also under discussion.
The session will be moderated by Jessica Kürten, Chair of the FEI Athletes' Committee. The changes are currently in the first revision phase and are to be finalized by the 2025 General Assembly. The aim is a transparent and comprehensively coordinated adaptation of the rules for show jumping.
All relevant documents, including biographies of the speakers, are available on the online portal and can be used to prepare the content. The discussions can also be followed via livestream on the FEI's YouTube channel and in the "Watch live" section. Participation via live chat is also possible there. For those who cannot attend live, the recordings will be available after the forum.
The FEI Sports Forum sees itself as a central platform for international dialog - whether on site in the Olympic capital or digitally worldwide.
