Around 300 people gathered in the jumping hall of the German Olympic Equestrian Committee today to commemorate Jonny Hilberath. Friends, riders, colleagues and companions from all over Germany remembered a man who shaped the sport of dressage with modesty, passion and a deep connection to horses. DOKR Managing Director Dennis Peiler paid tribute to Hilberath's impressive life and his work as an internationally recognized trainer. Monica Theodorescu, his colleague of many years, spoke of a special connection and deep mutual trust. Olympic champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl also recalled his wisdom and authenticity in personal words. The memorial service ended with music by Gregory Porter and Norah Jones and a silent farewell at the picture of the deceased.
