Farrier in southern France dies after being kicked by horse

A 32-year-old farrier from the south of France was fatally injured in a work accident on Thursday, March 6. Lilian Martinez, from Pernes-les-Fontaines, was kicked so severely in the sternum by a horse on a farm in Châteaurenard (Bouches-du-Rhône) that he died at the scene. Martinez had been working as a farrier for two years and was considered a dedicated professional in the Provence region.
