As part of the spring reception in the Rheinberg town hall, a well-known personality from the equestrian scene received a special honor: Mayor Dietmar Heyde made her the first woman to be awarded honorary citizenship of the town. The honoree accepted the award with great joy and was deeply moved.
In addition to the city sports association and the Graf von Schmettow Eversael e.V. 1920 riding and driving club, numerous guests and citizens of the city honored the special moment. In a cheerful atmosphere, there was even a brief discussion about whether horses should also be honored for their merits in the future - there were enough suitable candidates, as was noted with a wink.
