Four-time US Olympic rider Laura Kraut and Sandsablaze, Buddy Brown 's Olympic horse at the 1976 Montreal Games, have been inducted into the Show Jumping Hall of Fame. The official ceremony will take place on March 2, 2025 at the Wellington National Golf Club.

Sandsablaze, a horse originally intended as a hunter, developed into one of the most outstanding show jumpers of the 1970s with Buddy Brown. The courageous chestnut gelding won the AHSA Medal Finals in 1973, the Grand Prix of Ireland in Dublin in 1974 and secured the gold medal for the US team at the Pan American Games in 1975. In 1976, the pair took part in the Olympic Games in Montreal before Sandsablaze continued his career with further successes in the Nations Cup and the Puissance class.

After another team gold at the 1979 Pan American Games, Sandsablaze 's extraordinary career came to a tragic end: he broke his leg after the final jump-off in the Sussex County Horse Show Grand Prix - but still won his last competition. His tireless fighting spirit and extraordinary career make him a worthy legend of the Show Jumping Hall of Fame
