L'Espoir de Massa - newly crowned champion of the French Pro Élite Grand Prix 2024 - changed hands to Victoria Max-Theurer.
As a Portuguese Sport Horse (PSH), the now 10-year-old gelding combines German-bred dressage blood with Portuguese Lusitano blood on his father's side via Rubin-Royal: his dam's sire Landim, bred by Francisco Sousa Cardoso, carries typical Lusitano blood.
After initial successes under Renaud Ramadier, the stallion returned to the show ring in 2023 with Pierre Volla. In February 2024, the pair won their national Grand Prix debut and went on to top the French dressage scene with six wins in a row. The highlight: the championship title at the French Grand Prix Championships in Vierzon.
L'Espoir de Massa will now continue his training in Achleiten under Victoria Max-Theurer. The Austrian Olympian was internationally successful with Abegglen FH NRW and Birkhof's Topas in 2024 and finished 17th in the freestyle at the Olympic Games in Paris. In addition, she is not only involved in current dressage sport as a rider, but also as a co-owner: Isabell Werth's Quantaz FRH is also owned by her, together with Madeleine Winter-Schulze, as is the young mare Skovens Tzarina.
