The Holsteiner gelding London(Landos x Quinar) was voted "Holsteiner of the Year" by the readers of PFERD+SPORT. He previously held the title of "Holsteiner of the Month September" after winning two medals with Laura Collett (GBR) at the Olympic Games in Paris.
The gelding from the Holstein line 3200, bred by Ocke Riewerts, was first shown by Felix Flinzer and later Stefan Jensen in tests for young show jumpers up to medium (M) level. Peter Thomsen finally discovered him at a show, which resulted in his sale to Great Britain after a short time: he moved to the stables of British event rider Laura Collett. Under her, London developed into a world-class horse, winning team gold at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and the European Championship title with the British team in Haras du Pin.
With his renewed success in Paris, London has further crowned his extraordinary career and has now also secured the "Holsteiner of the Year" award.
