Maikel van der Vleuten named Rider of the Year 2024

Maikel van der Vleuten was voted Rider of the Year 2024 by The Dutch Masters. He already received this honor in 2021. The decisive factor in the committee's decision was his bronze medal win with Beauville Z NOP(Bustique x Jumpy de Fontaine) at the Olympic Games in Paris.

The committee, chaired by Anky van Grunsven, unanimously decided to honor van der Vleuten for his exceptional achievements. In addition to him, Robin Bakker, Bram Chardon, Demi Haerkens and Dinja van Liere were also nominated. Willem Greve, Harrie Smolders and Hiltje Tjalsma received an honorable mention.
