Mathies Rüder joined the Holsteiner Verband's team of riders in Elmshorn at the beginning of March. Managing Director Felix Flinzer was delighted with the new addition.
The 19-year-old comes from the island of Fehmarn and will be working both at the association's facilities and at home as part of a training alliance with his parents' business as a budding equestrian with a focus on riding. His parents, Kai and Petra Rüder, are successful eventing and show jumping riders themselves.
Mathies Rüder already has an impressive track record: As a children's rider, he won the German Show Jumping Championships and silver in the Nations Cup Final. In 2021, he won the HGW National Young Rider Championships, followed by individual gold in the junior eventing in 2022 and bronze with the team in the young riders' competition in 2024. He is also highly placed in show jumping up to 1.50 meters, most recently with Flora V (Cascadello x Acobat II) and Carlesta (Casall Ask x Corrado I) in Neumünster and Opglabbeek.
In addition to his sporting activities, Mathies Rüder also supports the marketing team and the Holsteiner Verband's stallion keeping company.
