This year's SWB working test for show jumping stallions will have two new test riders with international experience in Irish rider Eoin McMahon and Christian Hess - a debut for them at this event, which will take place in Strömsholm from March 17-22, 2025, despite their wealth of experience.
The 29-year-old McMahon, who was part of Ludger Beerbaum 's team for seven years, is an integral part of international show jumping and can look back on placings up to five-star level and a silver medal with the Irish team at the 2021 FEI Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. Since moving to Valkenswaard, he has been working with Swedish European Champion Wilma Hellström on the training of young horses.
The 44-year-old Christian Hess, brother of dressage test rider Philipp Hess and son of the renowned Christoph Hess, is also an experienced trainer of young show jumpers. He has been running his own training center in Heidmühlen since 2012 and regularly competes at Grand Prix level.
Stallions aged three to five years and older stallions with competition successes or who have passed foreign working tests are eligible to take part in the SWB working test for show jumping stallions.
