Oldenburg offspring statistics 2024

The Oldenburg Verband's 2024 offspring statistics have been published and show which stallions produced the most registered foals in 2024. Dynamic Dream(Dream Boy x Sir Donnerhall I) once again leads the dressage stallion ranking with 161 offspring, while Diablue PS (Diaron x Stakkato) dominates the show jumper breeding with 203 foals, overtaking Chacoon Blue(Chacco Blue x Cartoon).

The eight-year-old Dynamic Dream, bred by Catarinus van der Laan, was already a breeding success in 2021 with his first crop. His son Der Hit fetched 80,000 euros at the Elite Foal Auction in Vechta. Despite his own sporting inactivity due to an injury, Dynamic Dream remains a sought-after sire with 25 licensed sons from his first two crops. It remains to be seen whether he will continue to have so many coverings in Oldenburg in 2025, as Helgstrand Dressage has announced that he will be based in Denmark in the future.

Vitalis(Vivaldi x D-Day) follows in second place in the ranking with 126 foals, while Bon Esprit (Bon Courage x Sezuan) is in third place with his first crop. Stallions such as Escamillo, Va Bene and Bon Courage were also in high demand in Oldenburg breeding in 2024.

Chacco Blue 's influence on the show jumping stallions is still undeniable. In addition to his son Chacoon Blue, who is in second place with 196 foals, the legendary stallion's offspring Chaloubino PS and Chaccothage Blue PS are also in the top ten.

However, Diablue PS (Diaron x Stakkato) will head the list of coverings in 2024: The stallion from the Schockemöhle stallion station was already able to point to several licensed offspring in his first crops, including Diallasco Blue PS as well as the OS premium stallion and auction price leader Different Colour. His offspring Lerskovs Dialon fetched 32,000 euros as the most expensive jumper foal at a Danish auction. As the first licensed son of the double Bundeschampion Diaron, Diablue PS confirms his breeding class.

Under Eiken Sato, Diablue PS has meanwhile collected series victories in tests for young show jumpers with scores of up to 9.0 and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. He had already proven his exceptional willingness to perform in 2020 with an outstanding victory in the 50-day test in Adelheidsdorf, where he received a 10 for ability and commitment.
