Omaha: The First Wins in the Singles and Pas de Deux of the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final Go to Germany

Four German athletes placed first in Omaha in the Individual Female, Individual Male and Pas de Deux categories.

On Thursday, the vaulters finally started into the FEI Vaulting World Cup™ Final. Four German athletes placed first in Omaha in the categories Individual Female, Individual Male and Pas-De-Deux.

Individual Female | Competition 1 - Technical Test

At the individual vaulting of the women the German Kathrin Meyer won with a score of 8.299, convincing the judges with her artistic performance on San Classico. Close behind, in second place, was the Swiss Danielle Bürgi with Best Brew with a score of 8.092. The Hungarian Blanka Németh placed third with Lunar Eclipse and received 7.519 points for her round.

The other placers are as follows:

  1. Kimberly Palmer (USA) with Romeo 7.489
  2. Eva Nagiller (AUT) with Killian 7.394
  3. Julia Sophie Wagner (GER) with DSP Sir Laulau 7.075
  4. Nadja Büttiker (SUI) with Garth ISF 6.467
  5. Averill Saunders (CAN) with Max 6.388

Individual Male | Competition 1 - Technical Tes

During the individual vaulting of the men won the German Jannik Heiland on San Classico S with a score of 8.436. Second place went to Sam Dos Santos from the Netherlands who competed with Max and received a 7.952 for his performance. Third place was secured by Switzerland's Andrin Müller also with Max and a 7.176. Fourth place went to Switzerland's Lukas Heppler with Best Brew and a 6.885. Germany placed once again in fifth place with Jullian Wifling on Aragorn 102 with a score of 6.556. The last place was taken by American Daniel Janes on Romeo with a 6.081.

Pas de Deux | Competition 1 - Free Test

Also with the Pas de Deux the German athletes could once again convince with their performance. Athletes Chiara Congia and Justin Van Gerven scored highest marks for their technical and artistic performance at the Burlington Capital FEI Vaulting World Cup™ on Thursday afternoon in Omaha. The score of 8,370 placed the pair, or rather trio if you add Mecklenburg gelding Max, in first place. Austria's Romana Hintner and Eva Nagiller followed in second place with Killian and a score of 7.657. Denmark took third place with Freja Linde and Maria Thinggaard Sorensen on Lunar Eclipse and a score of 7.267. Fourth place went to Diana Harvard and Peter Kühne with DSP Sir Laulau, with a 7.236 for Germany.
