Scott Brash remained unbeaten for a long time, because even after 36 riders the British rider remained in first place, it remained exciting, for a short time Daniel Deusser was thought to be faster than Scott Brash with Hello Jefferson, but the German was 0.22 seconds slower than the British rider. The audience on site and the viewers via ClipMyHorse.TV / FEI.TV followed the excitement live right up to the last starting pair. But then came Henrik von Eckermann with King Edward was the last starter and with a time of 59.09, he was 14 seconds faster than Scott Brash and Hello Jefferson.
A tricky course, course designer Bernado Costa Cabral (POR) and his team did a great job designing this course for the first round of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final to design. Excitement, thrills and top class show jumpers, there is no other way to describe the first round of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™.
The excitement of show jumping is and remains the thrill of whether the obstacle pole stays down, whether the rider manages to complete the course in the allotted time, and also how well rider and horse harmonize with each other. Because to be able to ride a tight turn and then still be able to apply enough power to ensure a clean jump is one of the most difficult components in show jumping. Many of the riders had their difficulties in the course, because the obstacle faults were not scored in penalty points, but added to the time they took.
Also in the second round of the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final., we will see all riders again tomorrow at 02:00 CEST.
