Neustadt (Dosse) - The joy literally bubbled out of Mynou Diederichsmeier: with the small, lightning-fast mare Quick and Fly, the show jumper won the prize of the asset management company Herbert Ulonska in Neustadt-Dosse. "It was actually the first victory in a show jumping competition with her," the rider explained. She owes it to her patience, faith in the horse and an idea from her brother-in-law Carsten-Otto Nagel. Because Quick and Fly was actually her sister Mylene's horse. "And my sister asked me if I was crazy when we watched the mare at a show for the first time ever and I suggested we try her out. That's when she stopped resolutely before the first jump." It wasn't easy, he says, and at some point Carsten-Otto Nagel thought that Mynou might be a better fit for the rather small lady horse....
At the CSI Neustadt-Dosse, Sunday was the day of the couple. Already in the morning Mynou Diederichsmeier made the decision to take a risk. It paid off and the audience celebrated the former German champion enthusiastically, because Mynou Diederichsmeier lives and works near Bremen, but comes from Dallgow in Brandenburg. "It's always like coming home again when we're here," the winner confessed with a smile.
Also second place for a fast young woman
Christin Wascher from Redefin jumped her Quincy to second place after a fast jump-off and was completely satisfied. The show jumper from Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is experiencing her last year in the U25 age group. Brandenburg's international indoor tournament is always a destination for her, and one that she enjoys heading to. "I think we are celebrated here just as much as the Brandenburg riders," laughs the rider, who will treat her Quincy to a relaxing day of grazing on Monday.
Christian Jansen from Denmark paid respect to the fast women in the jumping saddle: "I was already surprised myself that I managed to be faster than Maren and then came Mynou and Christin..." Maren, that is Maren Hoffmann, once a student at the Prinz von Homburg School, the only school in Germany that offers riding as a subject. And although she is now at home near Aachen, she still rides for RV HuLG Neustadt-Dosse.
For Jansen it was the first visit ever to the CSI in the Graf von Lindenau Hall and the Dane was deeply impressed by the dimensions of the immediately neighboring Main and County Stud, which he inquired about in detail. Regine Ebert, Managing Director of the HuLG was pleased to hear it. For the HuLG, the long-standing, smooth cooperation with Herbert Ulonska (Equestrian Sport Events) and the positioning as a breeding and sporting location is of central importance. The momentum that the international event is generating for Brandenburg was also seen closely and with pleasure by the President of the State Parliament, Prof. Dr. Ulrike Liedtke. As patron of the event, she was an attentive observer on Sunday and experienced exuberant enthusiasm in the stands and good and exciting sport.
Herbert Ulonska announces continuation of sporting events
The sport also belongs to the attention of Herbert Ulonska, who was very pleased to register the great response of spectators and spectators to the CSI/ CDI Neustadt-Dosse, which returned after two pandemic years. From August 17 - 20, Neustadt-Dosse is to be the site of a CDI in the green season. Herbert Ulonska: "There has been a conversation here that I can't disclose details about yet, but it's conceivable that there will be an additional show jumping event with a focus on young horses."
