Following the gradual withdrawal of the Glock Horse Performance Center in the Netherlands, Ruben Mengual Reig has now found a new professional home. He is now working at Van Bockxgrave Horses in Hapert, North Brabant. Founded in 2015 by Yannick van Wijk, Marissia van der Voort and investor Harry van der Hout, the stable is now home to a large number of stallions and sport horses.

Mengual Reig completed his first show for his new employer last weekend in Hamminkeln. He competed in the Intermédiaire II and Intermédiaire A with the Dante Weltino OLD offspring Dantes Kosmos. As van Wijk told Horses.nl Mengual Reig is now a permanent member of the Van Bockxgrave Horses team.

The change is related to the ongoing dissolution of the Dutch Glock operation, which will continue to operate on a reduced scale until the summer.

In the saddle on Glock's Flavio, the rider competing for Spain managed to further establish himself in the U25 scene. Most recently, he placed third and fourth respectively in the U25 Grand Prix and Freestyle in Kronenberg last November.

In Germany, Ruben Mengual Reig made a name for himself as a rider at Tannenhof Stud, with whose Belfast he took part in the 2022 European U25 Dressage Championships, among others, before moving to the Netherlands.
