Scary moment in Gothenburg: Indoletto suffers sudden lameness

During the Gothenburg Trophy, one moment caused a hush in the Scandinavium: The 17-year-old Holstein stallion Indoletto(Indoctro x Caletto I), ridden by Erik Preben Strand, suddenly became very lame in the middle of the course and had to be led out of the arena.

After an initial examination by the show vets, a life-threatening injury was ruled out. It was a soft tissue injury, but serious enough to end the competition immediately, as Gothenburg Horse Shows spokeswoman Anna Nyström confirmed.
