With a festive ceremony and plenty of Swiss charm, the starting orders for the first competitions of the FEI World Cup™ Finals 2025 were announced on Tuesday evening in the St. Jakobshalle in Basel (SUI). Special focus: the Les Trois Rois FEI Dressage World Cup™ Final, where Larissa Pauluis (BEL) with Flambeau (Ampère x Zeoliet) will be the first to enter the arena on Friday morning. Corentin Pottier (FRA) and Gotilas Du Feuillard (Totilas x Ferro) will conclude the Grand Prix competition.

Nine rider-horse pairs will be celebrating their dressage final debut, including Carina Scholz (GER) and Isabell Freese (NOR). The most experienced athletes are Patrik Kittel (SWE), who is competing for the tenth time, and Isabell Werth (GER), who is competing in her 26th final. Charlotte Fry (GBR), the youngest participant and reigning World Champion, will start in 12th position with Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro).

In the show jumping, Marcus Ehning (GER) must once again start first in the race for the Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Final title. Defending champion Henrik von Eckermann (SWE) will start early, while Ben Maher (GBR), Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) and Martin Fuchs (SUI) can hope to start late. A total of 39 riders will be competing, with the opening competition starting on Thursday evening at 20:15.

The vaulting competitions are also top-class. Kathrin Meyer (GER) and Nadja Büttiker (SUI) are among those competing in the women's individual competition, while Thomas Brüsewitz (GER) and Quentin Jabet (FRA) are among those competing in the men's competition. In the Pas-de-Deux, several Swiss and German duos will be representing their country on home soil.

The finals run until Sunday - when it will be decided who will take home the coveted 2025 World Cup title.
