Five weeks after suffering a slipped disc that forced him to undergo surgery, Steve Guerdat has given an insight into his current state of health.

As reported by worldofshowjumping.com, the Olympic and reigning European champion is grateful for the numerous messages of support and has emphasized how much they motivate him during his recovery.

His rehab is progressing very positively - thanks to a dedicated medical team that is supporting him on his way back to competition form. His horses are also in excellent condition, which he attributes to the dedication of his stable team.

With an optimistic outlook on his imminent comeback, Guerdat also sent his regards to the upcoming World Cup Final in Basel. He was convinced that show jumping at the highest level would be on offer there and saw the event as a valuable opportunity to put the sport in the spotlight.
