The German Equestrian Sports Foundation has made a change at the top. After eight years, Jochen Kienbaum handed over the chairmanship on a rotational basis. During his farewell speech at the Stifterforum 2025 in Mannheim, Kienbaum emphasized the successful development of the foundation and thanked everyone for the trust they had placed in him.

Six members make up the Board of Directors, including three members of the Presidium of the German Equestrian Federation (FN). Tanja Traupe and Prof. Dr. Dietrich Baumgart were newly elected as Kienbaum's successors. Traupe, an experienced financial expert and former dressage rider, will take over the chairmanship for the next two years. She sees her task as developing equestrian sport for the future and anchoring it in society. Baumgart, a cardiologist and former event rider, will also remain active on the board.

Franz-Georg Ottmann was also appointed as a new member of the Board. The successful horse breeder from Westphalia, whose breeding has produced numerous top athletes, strengthens the board with his expertise. With its new management team, the foundation is optimistic about the future.
