Moritz Treffinger impressively took the lead in the Grand Prix Special of the CDI3* Tour at the international dressage tournament in Aachen.

With his partner Fiderdance (Fidertanz x Don Schufro), the rider from Gestüt Bonhomme achieved an overall score of 69.544% in the Grand Prix, leaving the entire competition behind. In the subsequent Grand Prix Special, the pair once again took victory - this time with 71.617%.

Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier took second place in both tests in the saddle on her Valencia AS (Vitalis x Hotline). The passage tour in particular was rewarded with marks in the fairly good to good range.

Laura Strobel took third place in the Grand Prix and fourth place in the Grand Prix Special with Sisters Act MT OLD (Sandro Hit x Royal Diamond), scoring 69.065% and 69.042% respectively. The 13-year-old mare, owned by Gestüt Vorwerk and Elisabeth Max-Theurer, has been ridden by Laura Strobel, rider at Stall Schneider, since last year, after Dorothee Schneider rode the mare herself until the end of 2023.

The start of Nuremberg Burg Cup finalist Berill Szöke-Toth and her 9-year-old Velasco (Veneno x Biasini), who is still owned by the rider, was also interesting to watch. The pair achieved a score of 67.702% in the Grand Prix and finished in 8th place.

Gareth Hughes, one of Great Britain's greats and known for his fine riding, presented the 11-year-old gelding Jens for the first time. In the saddle of the bay, he managed a solid round, which was rewarded with 66.106%. Highlights were the single changes, the strong walk and extremely precise halting.

Matthias Alexander Rath, who achieved 65.761% in the Grand Prix in the saddle of the black stallion Thiago GS OLD, did not compete in the following Special.

All the tests from Aachen can of course also be followed afterwards in our media library.
