At the second virtual "Stable Talk" of the German Equestrian Federation (FN), President Martin H. Richenhagen once again answered questions from around 70 participants from all areas of equestrian sport.
The questions asked focused on the following topics, among others:
- Design of driving badges
- Obligation to report cases of herpes
- Digitalization in equestrian sport
- More flexible trainer training
- Stricter sanctions for animal welfare violations
- Strategies for increasing the attractiveness of equestrian sport for young people
Richenhagen was also optimistic about the financial situation: after a deficit in 2023, the FN recorded a surplus of over 140,000 euros in 2024, and a plus of over 300,000 euros is expected for the current year. Personal members such as Judith Kleeberg from the Working Equitation Deutschland (WED) association took the opportunity to provide feedback. There was also good news for the WED: The FN Presidium is in favor of its admission as an affiliated association, the final decision will be made in May.
