Already since 1955 Mercedes-Benz supports the CHIO Aachen. This year the Nations' Cup goes to Switzerland. The last time that the Swiss team won the Nations Cup was 21 years ago. We congratulate the Swiss team consisting of Steve Guerdat, Martin Fuchs, Niklaus Schurtenberger and Edouard Schmitz for the victory in Aachen.
"Winning the Mercedes-Benz Nations' Cup in Aachen is a dream of all equestrian athletes, I am honored to stand on the course today at Aachen's Soers and to be able to take home the victory with the Swiss team after 21 years."- Michel Sorg, Chef d'Equipe
Once again it was an exciting Nations Cup at the CHIO Aachen 2023! Every year the Mercedes-Benz Nations' Cup many different top riders compete for their nations. This team competition requires a high level of skill, communication between horse and rider and maybe a bit of luck. Because the 1.60m high, 520m long course consisting of 12 obstacles has it in itself and this year few riders remained error-free.
After an exciting two rounds at the Aachen Soers, the Swiss team won the Mercedes-Benz Nations' Cup for itself. Martin Fuchs was the last rider of the team who had to complete the course without any faults in the second round to carry the victory to Switzerland. But Commissar Pezi (Commissario x Lord Pezi x Fly High) knew what his job was in the 2nd round and flew through the challenging course at the Soers with his rider Martin Fuchs at the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup 2023.
In second place are the British, this year's partner country gave everything in the course, but unfortunately had two faults in the first round. The British team, consisting of Harry Charles, Ben Maher, Tim Gredley and Scott Brash can still be proud of their performance.
The results of the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup at the CHIO Aachen 2023 are as follows:
- Team Switzerland
- Team Great Britain
- Team Belgium
- Team USA
- Team Germany
- Team Sweden
- Team France
- Team Netherlands
