On Tuesday night (March 25, 2025), a fire broke out in a laundry room at Helgstrand Dressage in Denmark. Thanks to a functioning alarm system, which was triggered at 3:38 a.m., and the rapid intervention of employees and the Nordjylland fire department, major damage was prevented. The incident was limited to property damage in the laundry room and smoke development in the adjacent equipment room.
According to Andreas Helgstrand, all horses were immediately examined by vets and are in good health. Medical care will continue in the coming days to rule out any possible long-term consequences. All employees were also unharmed. Helgstrand expressed his gratitude for the rapid assistance and the broad support the company received after the incident.
