Foundation bids farewell to sport
Stud service at Gestüt Schafhof continues

The Hanoverian stallion Foundation(Fidertanz x De Vito) is ending his sporting career, but will remain active as a breeding stallion at Gestüt Schafhof. The 17-year-old stallion, bred by Gerd Pigge, was internationally successful up to Grand Prix level under Matthias Alexander Rath.
After his basic training with Anja Engelbart, Foundation made his debut in the sport with Rath in 2013 and moved up to the international Grand Prix scene in 2018. His last official competition appearance was in December 2023 under Judit Sarda Mena at the CDI Kronenberg Indoor.
Gestüt Schafhof confirmed to eurodressage that Foundation is being trained to full fitness and will continue to be covered. Ann-Kathrin Linsenhoff is now riding him at her home stud.
