FEI launches free online training to protect against abuse in equestrian sport

New course is aimed at everyone involved in equestrian sport

The Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI), together with the #WeRideTogether initiative, has launched an online training program that provides basic knowledge about protection against harassment and abuse in equestrian sport. The free course on the FEI Campus platform is open to everyone and is aimed in particular at riders, trainers, grooms, parents, officials and volunteers - regardless of sporting level.

In around 90 minutes, participants learn how to recognize, prevent and report abuse using videos, graphics and quizzes. Additional modules specifically address individual groups such as parents or caregivers, but are relevant for everyone. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate.

The initiative builds on the FEI guideline on protection against abuse, which has been in place since 2019, and supplements existing measures to raise awareness among national associations. They are also encouraged to develop their own protection concepts and publicize the course in their national equestrian communities.
